Have you ever been asked to pray and had no idea what to say? Or, have you ever been in a situation that was so arresting
that you were at a loss for words with God? Some of us grew up in homes where prayers were rarely spoken. Others of us
grew up in traditions where personal prayer was not something encouraged. Prayers were to be given by professionals or
repeated from holy formulas. Sometimes, even though we’ve prayed before, a situation is so overwhelming that we find
ourselves unable to talk to God.
Praying can, at times, be difficult. In this series, we’re going to examine five prayers given during various intense
circumstances. As we study them, we will be equipped more with one of the greatest gifts God has granted the human race...
the ability to actually talk with the Almighty.
