Caterpillar Room: 6-12 months

 Let
us introduce ourselves. We are Cindy Moore, Danielle Smith and Sarah
Kerr. We are the teachers in the Caterpillar Room. We are so very excited
about having your children in our room at Moms Day Out this year. We also
feel very honored that you would trust us with your precious little ones.
We
have so much fun in the Caterpillar Room because of all the wonderful
changes that will occur in your children throughout the year, and we will
get to witness them and even take part in some. We know that the first few
times may be difficult for some of the children to be left without mom,
and it might be hard on mom, too! However, we also know from past
experience that after just a few times of being with all the other
children, even the most uneasy child will become comfortable and by the
end of the year will most likely be running into the room without looking
back. |

Just a few things we
would like you to do for us before you come to MDO:

Please label all of your child's belongings. This includes bottles,
cups, spoons, pacifiers, lunch containers, blankets, and anything you
would not want to lose.

Please bring as
much finger food as possible for your youngster’s lunch. We know that
many of your children are still eating baby food, and we are happy to
feed them at lunch, but for those of you who have entered into the world
of finger food, we would really appreciate it. This makes lunch time
much happier for all of us.

If your child has a
special toy, blanket or pacifier, please bring them so that they will
feel more at home. We have many toys, but a familiar one is sometimes
best.

We will be asking
all parents to fill out a sheet to give us a little bit of an idea of
your child’s morning routine. This will take some of the guess work out
of our job. We can’t promise that naps and feedings will occur at exact
times, but we can do our best to be in the right ballpark for what your
child is used to.

label EVERYTHING!
