What an exciting age! Our favorite time
as we open our day is having free play until we hear “The Clean Up Song”
and then the fun continues as we gather in our circle and have calendar
time where we talk about the weather and practice the days of the week,
months of the year and counting. This is also the time when we will
introduce a new letter each day to help the kids learn to recognize the
letters instead of just being able to recite them. The kids can hardly
wait until the next part of our day when we sing songs (their favorite
being “The Wiggle Song”… gotta get all those wiggles out before we listen
to our Bible story!) For continuity for the children, we follow the same
general schedule each day, only changing it when a special event or
situation arises.
