My name is Pat Zoellick and I am the teacher in the
Marvelous Mice room (ages 4 & 5). This will be my 18th year in
the Moms Day Out Program. My husband Harry and I have been married for 32
years and are members of First Free Church. We have one son, Todd, who is
working in the Presidential Administration for the Department of
Education.
As we begin the second half of the year we
continue to work on the alphabet (a different letter each week). Our goal
is to learn how to write the letters of the alphabet and we are especially
concentrating on holding our pencils and crayons correctly.
Learning some basic Spanish vocabulary
words, numbers, and colors are also a new adventure. We are learning the
Pledge Of Allegiance to the flag and Months Of The Year song. We even do
the Chicken Dance to get our 'Wiggles' out. The 'Bear Hunt' is a favorite
in the Mice Room. A patriotic theme in February, along with our Valentine
Party and Beach Day in March are a few of the exciting things we will be
doing. Of course we will be getting ready for our graduation in May. |
