Ministry Description:

In 1986, Lareau and Evie founded Barnabas International. They had a convincing "Moses-type" call from the Lord while they were on a ministry assignment with Wycliffe in Colombia, South America. They returned to Illinois convinced that God had spoken and they chose to obey. Immediately they resigned and made preparation to begin this ministry and to do the work of encouragement and edification to people in ministry. Their targeted audiences are expatriate missionaries and national pastors living and working outside of the United States. This has been the greatest chapter of their lives. It is the reason for which they were born, gifted, and commissioned.  Lareau served as the Executive Director for 18 years. In 2004, Lareau and Evie became Senior Associates. They continue to serve as full-time staff members of Barnabas International. They have been in over 120 countries on six continents. Both of them lead/preach/teach in conferences, workshops, and seminars. During the first year of Barnabas International, Lareau started writing a monthly devotional letter for Christians in ministry. As of 2008, this piece is printed in five languages: English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Hindi. More than 40,000 copies are sent out monthly. Lareau has written two books: Too Soon to Quit and Why Lord…Why? Other manuscripts are in process.
